The Green Line Rivalry Give: Support BC Eagles in the NIL Era

The “Battle of Comm Ave.”—also known as the Green Line Rivalry—is one of college sports’ most storied matchups. Since 1918, Boston College and Boston University have faced off 295 times in a clash that embodies tradition, intensity, and the spirit of Boston. A rivalry that is etched into the history of college hockey. Now, Friends of the Heights invites you to celebrate this legacy while supporting Boston College athletes through The Green Line Rivalry Give.

Fans attending the game on Saturday, January 25th, at Conte Forum can expect a QR code on the videoboards during a special stoppage in play and are encouraged to scan the code to donate. Contribution levels honor key moments in this rivalry’s history:

  • $18 for the first BC-BU game in 1918

  • $68 commemorating the first Eagle to reach the NHL in 1968

  • $296 in honor of the 296 games played before tonight.

Donors at the $68 or $296 level will also be entered into a drawing for an exclusive framed photo celebrating BC hockey.

Can’t make it to the game? You can still be part of this tradition by donating online. Every contribution strengthens our Eagles in the Name, Image, and Likeness era, keeping Boston College Hockey a dominant force in the Hockey East Association.

Let’s show our student-athletes, coaches, and alumni what it means to be Eagles. Your support makes all the difference. Go Eagles!
